One Door Closes, Another Opens

A few months later I get a phone call about another job, this time local. I decide to take it. The week leading up to my first day I'm offered not 1, but multiple work opportunities. Mind you, these were all for less pay but much more along the lines of what I wanted to do for a living. It allowed me to gain that experience, and it was vital experience.

I began working as an independent contractor in sales, which is one of the toughest jobs I've ever had. People love to say no, I'm starting to think no is the most over used word in the world. People need to start saying yes, just saying yes makes you feel good doesn't it?

I also launched a consulting firm called CAM Consulting. It's not going so great either, but it's starting. I currently build websites and consult local non profits. I'm also looking into investing in new business ideas as well as online work.

I love writing blogs, I love YouTube, and I love what I'm doing now. I'm an Executive Director at a local Recreation Center. It might be completely underpaid, but the ideal that I'm running the center and making an impact on the community is the best feeling in the world. The fact that I can reach my local community and then millions of people online puts a smile on my face. I hope, more than anything else, that I can be successful at this and I hope that you can help.

My life has been a tumbling mess, but I feel a renewed sense of motivation and I can't wait to see what happens next. I just hope you're all here to see it and be a part of it with me. Welcome into my life, you're family now.
